Dealership Trade-In Deals- Fact or Fiction?

Yes, there absolutely are such things as dealership trade-in deals. A dealership trade-in deal will be one where the dealer acquires your vehicle when you acquire one of our cars. For one reason or another, some car models are more in demand than others. Maybe it’s a strange paint color, does not have the tech customers desire, or maybe an upgraded version just came out, no matter the factors it’s better to sell the automobile and bring in something that is likely to sell. If you’re searching for a trade-in bargain, your best option is to take a look at the new versions from last year. The new models are beginning to roll in and we need to make space for them. So, if you do not need to have the most upgraded version of a car then we might be able to get you a trade-in deal.

Will a Car Dealership Do An Even Trade?

We will certainly do a straight-up trade for your car. The important things to bear in mind when trying to find ‘straight-up swaps’ is that you may discover the retail value of your vehicle and match it up with an automobile we’re offering, but we aren’t able to give retail prices on a trade-in. Every trade-in will be required to be checked for potential troubles and safety concerns. In most cases, there will likely be costs related to ensuring the trade-in is ready to be resold in a safe condition. Furthermore, if your car isn’t paid off you’ll want to see to it that the dealership will repay your trade-in balance in any type of deal. Every one of those things costs money, so your best option is to identify the trade-in value, and browse our automobiles for something near that price. Remember internet websites can only provide a quote on what your car is worth. A precise value can only be given with an evaluation. We use an industry-standard automobile appraisal system to determine the value of your trade-in.

Trade In My Vehicle or Sell It Myself – Which is Best?

The traditional wisdom is that you’ll get more money if you sell your vehicle outright and afterwards acquire a car from the car dealership. However, that may not in fact be true because in most states the sales tax paid on a vehicle purchase is determined after your trade-in has been factored in. For instance, the automobile you intend to get is $30,000 and if you buy it outright you pay tax obligations on the full $30k price. If we give you $15k for your trade-in, then you would be accountable for the tax obligations on the $15,000 remaining on the price. The taxes would be essentially be halved. So, while you may be able to get more money by selling it on your own, the lower tax obligations and simplicity of trading it here can negate any extra money you would get.

What Can I Do To Get The Best Trade-In Value?

There are a couple of straightforward techniques to ensure you get the best trade-in value for your car. If you follow these basic tips, it’ll help you get the best deal.

Make Sure Your Car is Clean

Nobody will buy a gross automobile. If your car is full of trash and is filthy, we’ll need to pay someone to clean it. Clean cars are much easier to sell, make it easy for us to purchase yours.

Prove You’ve Taken Care Of It

If you have maintenance documents bring them along to highlight that you’ve looked after your car. Unless your automobile still has a warranty, possible customers will surely be concerned with dependability. Having documents highlighting regular maintenance makes a vehicle much easier to sell.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! We had Warren helping us out and he was amazing! Everyone in the building was friendly. The whole transaction from trading in my car to getting the other car was smooth and wayyy less painful than other times/places. The finance manager was also great and the paperwork process was mostly digital which was great also. Definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a new or used vehicle!

I bought a car this week from Team Gillman, and a first-time buyer I felt no pressure and all respect from Blake and his sales manager, Andy. I knew what I wanted before getting to the dealership and at no point did I feel pressured or like I was not going to end up with a great deal. I look forward to coming back to Team Gillman in the future!

All the staff here was amazing and so helpful. Firstly to start with Lavonda who was the sales person that assisted me with test driving the vehicle I was interested in. She was nothing but respectful and took me around showing me the departments as well as all the bells and whistles in my new car. Then Byron the finance director was so understanding and respectful. He made sure I understood every part of my contract and genuinely helped me feel like he was their to help me get the best deal. I can't speak anymore highly of him. And ...
