Adding the Hybrid driveline, you get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and three electric motors. Combined this driveline puts down 219 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission sends that power onward through the CX-50 Hybrid’s electronic all-wheel-drive system. There is a Mi-Drive selector that you can switch to Sport or Trail mode. Even with that kind of power and traction, you can still return an EPA-rated 38 MPG in combined city/highway driving.
