Ever since its debut in 2003 as a 2004 model, the MAZDA3 has been a remarkable choice in the compact car market. Over its four generations, the MAZDA3 has been offered as either a compact sport sedan or a hatchback. The hatchback proves that you don't need an SUV or crossover for versatility, especially after all-wheel drive became available in 2021. It's also worth noting that these are not just the same body with different rear ends; they share only the hood and headlights. All other exterior panels are unique, creating a more cohesive design for each body style. Every MAZDA3 exemplifies Mazda's aim to deliver the best driver's vehicle in every segment in which it competes. The Mazda3 is the most affordable model lineup Mazda offers, yet you wouldn't know it from its upscale interior, sporty handling, and the impressive power of the turbocharged version.
The fourth-generation MAZDA3 maintains its sleek styling and upscale interior design, which outshines many premium brands, even though most of the lineup remains under $30,000. It enters the 2026 model year with minor packaging updates and new standard features. Team Gillman Mazda shares more details.
