What's New for the 2026 Mazda CX-70
January 20 2026 - Team Gillman Mazda

If you are looking for a spacious mid-size SUV with only two rows of seats, the Mazda CX-70 is the right vehicle for you. For 2026, the CX-70 offers even more with a few additional features to its lineup.

There are seven trim levels available with three distinct drivelines. It starts with the perfect combination of performance and efficiency in the 3.3 Turbo in-line six-cylinder engine. It puts down 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque on regular 87-octane fuel. The result is an EPA estimated 24 MPG city, 28 MPG highway, and 25 MPG combined

As Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid, the combination of a four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and a 17.8-kilowatt-hour high-capacity battery produces 323 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque when using the recommended 91-octane premium fuel. It is also capable of driving up to 30 miles on battery power alone.

The 3.3 Turbo S puts down an impressive 369 pound-feet of torque using the recommended 91-octane fuel. That low-end power makes highway driving anywhere a powerful experience.

All 2026 CX-70 models will wear a new black emblem and badges. This adds to the sporty flair this SUV offers. What has not changed is the expansive 39.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. When folded down, it expands to 75.3 cubic feet. The 2026 CX-70 can tow up to 5,000 pounds, depending on the driveline. Getting you to where you need to drop off the trailer is Mazda Online Navigation, with over-the-air updates.

Each trim level has a full complement of features that are made for drives with the family. The Preferred trim wears 21-inch wheels. Your 12.3-inch full-color infotainment screen is large enough to display both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both of which are connected wirelessly. You also enjoy the comfort you expect from the leather seating.

Premium models add a Bose 12-speaker audio system. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, and a head-up Active Driving Display are among the upgrades you will find throughout the model lineup.

For the last word in luxury, the Premium Plus coddles you with Nappa leather seats and a power panoramic roof.

PHEV models get new trim designations – SC and SC Plus. They will wear a specific badge on the liftgate to distinguish them from other CX-70 models. SC models gain most of the equipment found on Premium, except for the leatherette seating. The Active Driving Display is added to the SC Plus trim, along with leather seating.

All 2026 CX-70 models are equipped with the i-Activsense safety suite of driver assist features. That includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring with Vehicle Exit Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning System with Lane-keep Assist, and much more.
