Model Highlights

The Toyota Supra now comes with two drivetrain options, a 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine fed by a turbocharger and mated to the rear axle via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. For 2021, Toyota has upgraded the six-cylinder engine specifications, claiming that this engine, sourced from BMW, makes 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, almost an increase of 50 horsepower from last year. The six-cylinder engine that is capable of 0-60 times in under four seconds, is now not the singular option for Supra buyers. New for 2021, is a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo engine creating 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. While the horsepower number sounds relatively tame, the light weight of the car combined with the big torque numbers mean that the Supra is exceptionally quick. Handling is exemplary, with a wide track and quick reflexes, the Supra turns in well and feels adjustable on the limit without feeling any sense of nervousness or unpredictability. Much of that feel and competence is down to the chassis. Unlike most other modern sporty cars, the Supra doesn't share any underpinnings with a sedan or sporty coupe. The only other car that shares its chassis is also a pure sports car. There are now four different trim levels available for the 2021 Toyota GR Supra. The base model 2.0 comes with a mix of premium and performance features, this includes the new 2L turbocharged engine, 18-inch aluminum wheels, Automatic High Beams with LED fog lights, LED taillights, auto-folding heated mirrors, keyless entry with push button start, dual-zone climate control, leather steering wheel, sport tuned suspension with driver control, stability control and electro-mechanical limited slip differential. Other standard infotainment and safety features include SiriusXM satellite radio, USB-port, 8.8-inch touchscreen with 4-speaker sound system, HomeLink garage door transmitter, Lane-Departure Alert and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian detection. The Supra 3.0 trim comes with the larger 3L turbocharger six-cylinder engine, 19-inch forged, adaptive suspension, alloy wheels, electrically adjustable front seating, driver and mirror memory, 10-speaker sound system and head-up display. The Supra 3.0 Premium comes standard with a ton of performance features, along with a touch of luxury for those longer journeys. These features include heated front seats, leather seats, 12-speaker 500-watt sound system, voice-activated navigation, real-time traffic information, Supra Connect, Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, front/rear painted calipers, and sport pedals The limited-run A91 Edition comes with special exterior accents, including black wheels, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber trimmed rear spoiler, performance brakes and a special paint color option called "Refraction".
